TeachOpera is a national collaboration between Opera America members dedicated to providing education materials which support K-12 teachers and teaching artists using opera in their classroom curricula. The opera companies in the TeachOpera partnership solicit and then adjudicate lesson plans from teachers and teaching artists involved in their regional programs. Unlike other arts-in-education web sites, this panel review process insures that only the "best practices" are selected to share with educators nationally and internationally.

  TeachOpera is a gateway for using opera in the classroom and an investment by the participating opera companies in the future of arts-in-education.
